Im back with some fun news!

Man has it been a long time since I've been on here. But I'm back and have missed you all. Iv'e got some really exciting things happening in my life right now. One of my friends is opening up a scrapbook store right here in my hometown of Medina, OH. and she asked me to help her with it. So, I've happily accepted and it's been non stop fun! I love picking things out for her store and spending her money, lol. The store is called Bee Scrappy and it will be opening in late November. The store will feature some really cool and new designed rubber stamps, mostly block with some clings and some unmounted. Designer paper that you can not find in your local Hobby Lobby or JoAnns ect. Embellishments galore, ribbon ect. We will hold classes and "make and takes". Needless to say I've been very busy and hopefully we will get a blog up and running soon and be looking for a design team.

Graduation Day

Well, she did it, my daughter graduated from High School on May31st. Maybe now things will slow down a little bit for me. I feel like I haven't been on my blog in such a long time. I know I haven't been able to join any challenges or make many cards let alone check anybody else's blog.

My daughter's prom

I apologize for not being on my blog for such a long time. As some of you know I've been very busy with my daughter Ariel. She's a senior and very soon about to graduate from High School. She is my baby and to think she will be going this fall to college......well, sometimes I can't even talk about it, too overwhelming. Tonight was prom and I wanted to share some pictures of my daughter and her boyfriend Tyler.

Vacation was good, when is the next one?

Hi everyone,

I've been so busy especially since getting home from vacation. Why is it that you need a vacation to recover from your vacation? Ahh, I just can't catch up, not to mention the beautiful weather we are finally having here in NE Ohio. Just wish I felt better....yes, Im sick AGAIN! I just feel the need to sit down and make something, it's long over due. Here is a pick of me and my husband in St. Marten.

Get well

Happy Wednesday everybody! Guess I'm just a little extra excited that it is closer to the weekend. I'm leaving for a cruise this Friday to the Eastern Carribean Islands. Can't wait:) So, I'll be gone for about 9 days. I'm not sure yet if I want to take my computer with me. Anyway, I made this Get well card for a swap in "Sassy scrappin sistahs" on Cafemom and wanted to share. Inside the card I stamped "Get well"

Locker decor for LAX

I've missed posting on here, I still got on to check everyone else's blogs. I've been sick and just had no energy to make anything. Now that I'm feeling better I've been busy with my daughter's lacrosse games and making locker decorations for all the girls. Spring sports are here and my favorite is "Lacrosse" my daughter plays and this is her senior year so it's bitter-sweet for me. They are called the Medina Lady Bees and that's why we used bees on these two locker decorations.

And I used several copics to color in the Kneeling Willow image which I got from Norma (hugs to Norma).

SU club cards I made tonight

My neighbor and friend MaryJo is a SU demonstrator and she always has fun things for us to make when we get together. Tonight was club night and we made some really cute cards. This first one was made using the "Totally Tool" set. Awesome design, I know just who will be getting this card! The second card was made with the "Wanted" stamp set, we stamped our own background paper for this one! This last card is so simple but very elegant and we even made a box for it. The box would probably hold 4 to 5 cards w/envelopes. Love the textured Impressions die "The Manhattan Flower". Thanks MaryJo for a fun night making all these great cards.

3 + 1 brown challenge

Hope everyone is having a Happy St. Patty's day so far. Im enjoying a little wine but behaving myself here at home:) I was feeling a little green (not from too much wine) so I couldn't help but make this brown and GREEN card with Goodluckabella and some really pretty BoBunny paper from their new line that just came out "Abbey Road". Love that paper!!!! This card is for a challenge over at http://Cupcakecraftchallenges.blogspot.com

Spring flowers

I got this image in a image swap so Im not really sure who gave it to me but I really liked it and wanted to color it today so I came up with this little card, it's pretty simple and probably needs a sentiment but, I think it turned out kinda pretty.

Copics

I really like using copics and I've been investing in some new ones when they are on sale, which they happen to be this week. Otherwise, I can't afford them at regular price which is $6.49 ea. at my local Hobby Lobby. I have thirteen so far, i think that's enough to keep me busy for awhile. I got some new Brilliance black ink for stamping, so there will be no more smearing when using the copics.

I'm addicted to this new stamp.

I'm back.........It's been awhile since I've been on. I finally got my new stamp from Whiff of Joy. I've been stamping and stamping and coloring with my copics knowing that copics and stazon don't mix but I had to make a card anyway. Time for some new black ink. Anyway, I managed to get the image of "Willow with hot chocolate" done with minimal smearing and came up with this card. I really like this image, the girl reminds me of my daughter. There are a couple other stamps Im wanting from Whiff of Joy. Love their stamps.

This is my card I completed for the "Build a card challenge" in one of my favorite groups "Card Makin Mamas" on cafemom. I did add an extra step after the challenge was done because I want to give this card to my sister for her birthday on March 4th. I added a sentiment on the front.

My new QuicKutz

I had to use my Archiver coupons yesterday cause they were expiring. So, I happily went shopping. I love that store and it's really hard to stick to a budget when going in there. So pretty much after checking just about everything out and going up and down every isle I settled on some QuicKutz dies. I already had the owl one cause I just recently purchase the Big Shot and after that purchase well I only had enough $$$ to buy one die and I absolutely LOVE owls. The QuicKutz exclusively for Archivers were Buy one and get one 50% off. No brainer! I used my 30% of coupon on one and got the other one 50% off. What a deal! After much consideration I finally decided on the Birthday Penguin and the Palm Tree. I got some playing time today and made a couple of each. Though I would share them with you. Enjoy!

Crazy for Cupcakes

This cupcake was made using the Crazy for cupcakes SU stamp set. This would be cute as a tag on a package. I think I had to stamp the image like four times so that I could cut it out on all the different color SU paper. Then I ran the chocolate chip paper through a crimper, put it all together, used the crop-a-dial for the jumbo eyelet and used some stickles for the cupcake sprinkles, which kinda smeared alittle from not being completely dried. Lastly the stamped sentiment "Yummy"
is out of the new SU celebration catalog.

I made this cute little goodie bag with mostly all stampin up products. I used the crazy for cupcakes stamp set, the top note die cut, and the red duo beads, I can't take credit for the design though. That idea belongs to my stampin up demonstrator's.

Vintage bookmark or not?

Ok, so I belong to the group "Advance Swaps Non Stop" on Cafemom. There is a swap where you have to make Vintage bookmarks. Im not really sure that what I came up with is "vintage".

I still feel they need a little something more added to them or maybe I should just simply start all over. The brown peice is actually chip board and I glued paper over it and sanded the edges to make it look worn.

Four Legged friends

What would we do without our four legged friends? I love my babies. Here are some current pics of my three (yes, I said three) dogs and my very brave cat.
The first pic is Kirby he is 11 yrs. old, even though he is completely blind he manages to get around just fine, always needs his blankets close by. Then there is Tidus our 5 yr. old cat. I actually brought him home from work one day. A litter of kittens were born in the mill behind my place of employment at the time. He is an outdoor/indoor cat...whatever he wants, lol. A great little hunter. My baby Sydney (the other Boston Terrier) was a birthday surprise from my husband. She is pretty much my "side kick", A little heartbeat at my feet.
Lastly, there is Moses. What can I say...I brought him home from work too, hey...he needed a home and Im a sucker. We completely fell in love with him. The biggest couch potato Ive ever seen. His favorite places are my couch and our bed!

Newbie

Gosh this is all so new to me, so bare with me on this blogging stuff. Im teaching myself (which can be frustrating) I will enjoy it alot more the sooner I learn the simple things.
